About PsychDefense

Building Mental Resilience for Every Challenge Ahead

Hi!!

1.jpg

My name is Rona Pichon, and I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am licensed to practice in Washington and Louisiana.

I entered the nursing profession with a clear purpose: to care for others with compassion and integrity. Throughout my career, I found meaning in supporting individuals through vulnerable and challenging moments. However, my path was profoundly reshaped when I experienced a significant personal loss that placed me on the other side of care.

Navigating that period gave me a deeper understanding of emotional pain and the tremendous effort it takes to heal, recover, and eventually thrive. The support I received during that time—grounded in empathy, patience, and nonjudgment—became the foundation of my renewed commitment to mental health.

This experience strengthened my belief that defending mental wellness is essential. Emotional suffering is often invisible, yet it influences every aspect of a person’s life. Protecting and nurturing mental health allows individuals to regain clarity, build resilience, and move forward with confidence.

At PsychDefense, I combine my clinical expertise with the insights gained from my own healing journey. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to pursue meaningful change.
